I have to say, considering how well SSF4 performed on Amazon its strange to not see it in the top 10.

Great start for it, beats my 400k expectations. Sad to not see a single 3DS game in the top 10 though :/

This is my fear. Everyone seems to know it's out, but everyone sees it as just 'the 3D one', like the Wii is 'the Gamecube with the White Brick'
Over time it'll become clear that it isn't. Also, it's fully sold out here, in a 15 mile radius, so that's a nice start! Remember it was only one day though. But the DS and PS2 didn't have the best start of all time, now look where it is...
3DS is expensive, has games built in and has the entire DS back-catalogue (including big recent games like Pokémon B&W). Those three probably combine to explain it..

well, it does play DS games, doesn't it?
perhaps a lot of people just saw it as a upgrade like the DSi.
actually thinking about it i wonder if the Commercials made it clear that it is actually a whole new console. Maybe people were thinking it plays their old games in 3D now?

Well you don't have to have $300M, you could have just about $10,000, and your still a bit loaded.
