Right, because Sony never used 3D on PS3, TVs, and on their laptops...NINTENDO IS GOD!!!!!!!!!

3D has been around before Sony was even made.  This isn't about who invented 3D.  Nintendo also didn't invent 3D glasses free either.  They are using someone elses tech on this.  This is about Nintendo implementing FIRST 3D glasses free for a handheld.

and besides 3D is different wearing glasses or not.

besides i wouldn't call ps3's games in 3d a success either.  i don't hear anybody ever talkinga botu some game in 3d.  Who the hell is playing these games in 3D.  what games are even available in 3D?

Virtual boy is irrelevant. The fact is, 3DS was used by Sony way before 3DS, so implying that Sony planned using  and copying 3D because of 3DS's ''succses'' is ridicilous. Sony had it before §DS, so even if they do come out with portable 3D (which is highly unlikely) they wont be copying anyone.

Was avatar the first 3D movie? or spy kids or whatever.  hell no, there have been 3D movies since 1953 at least when hollywood released first big budget one in theatres.  obviously there was also messing aroudn and other 3D movies before that too.  was avatar copying this 1953 movie?  no, but just as above i'm stating james cameron didn't do it first.

PS1 came out in Japan in 1994


I didn't know the ps1 had any 3d games, but reading again i'm guessing you are just stating when sony became a video game company


For the record, Sony did made some games for other consoles.(some of them were in 3D i believe, ut im not sure) They were partly a game company before they launched PS1.

how does virtual boy have nothing to do with either?  it uses 3D, that is the whole argument.  You were saying that sony woudl not be copying nintendo's 3D because they already are doing it.  I was stating that Nintendo did 3D first.  The virtual boy was before the PS3's 3D, before the 3DS 3D.  You can't ignore it.  Doesn't matter if the Virtual boy is this gen hardware or not.  Or are we going to say the 360 was the first system to implement an analog stick.  i mean we can ignore all prior generations right?

Its just like when Sony said MOTION was stupid regarding the Wii, and later release the MOVE.  Doesn't matter if they were working on MOVE in 1910, they STILL ATE CROW. 

How do you not get what eating crow is about.  Its saying one thing and doing another.  Regardless of who invented or used 3D first.  Sony is saying that it is dumb for a handheld.  THUS if they implement it on the NGP, they are serving themselves crow.  Doesn't matter if they are working on 3D for the NGP behind scenes, doesn't matter if PS3 is using 3D.  None of that matters.  It only matter on what they say and what they do.

Correction: This place used to have an intelligent community. I'm not sure when it started becoming a New fag fest, but that's what ruined the atmosphere of this site. Was my favorite site on games until a couple of years ago.

Honestly, I just don't see Sony doing a 3D iteration of NGP.  The core problem being that huge OLED multi-touchscreen... 3D touchscreen technologies are in development, but they're so far off, and likely so expensive, I think anything like that is probably more likely for NGP2/PSP3 in another 6 or so years.  If NGP had used the back-touch panel only, then I think it'd be possible, but not with the current NGP.

On the other hand, I could actually see a 3DS upgrade that uses 3G down the line when the costs make more sense and data networks grow more robust.
