All this bullshit, butthurt and trash talk comes down to this:

1-  Nintendo is getting their parallax barrier screens from Sharp.

2 - Sony wasn't expecting Nintendo to jump ship on this tech.

3 - Sony won't use a costly 3rd party hardware from Sharp on their machine. Profits are already small, if any at start with NGP.

4 - Nintendo is heavily successfull with its new gimmick; Sony trash talks them while developing a proprietary 3D screen for a later NGP.

5 - Sony fanboys rejoice. 3D glassesless is now the best thing ever.

6 - Nintendo fanboys serve crow.

7 -  Overall sales patern remain pretty much the same.

your forgetting the statement saying that Sony was planning on using this tech 10 years ago and nintendo didn't do it first

Right, because Sony never used 3D on PS3, TVs, and on their laptops...NINTENDO IS GOD!!!!!!!!!

3D has been around before Sony was even made.  This isn't about who invented 3D.  Nintendo also didn't invent 3D glasses free either.  They are using someone elses tech on this.  This is about Nintendo implementing FIRST 3D glasses free for a handheld.

and besides 3D is different wearing glasses or not.

So? Sony still used 3D way before Nintendo did so dont come up with the made up arrogant crap like that

what do you consider the virtual boy?

A failure

didn't ask if it was a success or a failure.

besides i wouldn't call ps3's games in 3d a success either.  i don't hear anybody ever talkinga botu some game in 3d.  Who the hell is playing these games in 3D.  what games are even available in 3D?

Well, success or not, they were here before 3DS, and Sony used 3D before 3DS was even announced, so dont come up and say Sony didnt use 3D before on their games

are you going to AGAIN ignore the virtual boy.

That was in 3D.  Was it the first?  idk, but it was way before sony.  Hell i don't even think sony was a video game company yet even, cause that was back in 1995

Virtual boy is irrelevant. The fact is, 3DS was used by Sony way before 3DS, so implying that Sony planned using  and copying 3D because of 3DS's ''succses'' is ridicilous. Sony had it before §DS, so even if they do come out with portable 3D (which is highly unlikely) they wont be copying anyone.

what are you talking about?  how is virtual boy irrelevant.  It used 3D, that is the point.  End point.  You can't ignore the past.

I am also not saying that sony is copying nintendo's 3ds.  they have no 3D handhelf.  All i'm saying is that sony was not the first company to make 3d video games.  You were stating they were, i was pointing out that, that is indeed false.  Nintendo, and others i'm sure had 3d games before sony did.  I wasn't saying sony is copying anybody in 3d, just stating that they did NOT do it first.

Was avatar the first 3D movie? or spy kids or whatever.  hell no, there have been 3D movies since 1953 at least when hollywood released first big budget one in theatres.  obviously there was also messing aroudn and other 3D movies before that too.  was avatar copying this 1953 movie?  no, but just as above i'm stating james cameron didn't do it first.
