Steam achievements are nowhere near what achievements are for the 360 and trophies are for PS3. For starters it is hard to know where to find your unlocked achievements. There is no single place where all of your achievements shown together, and instead you need to view your games list, and then scroll down until you find the specific game you want.
Another problem with Steam Achievements is there is no way to measure how well you're actually doing. There is no worth to the achievement with instead the game will simply state that you have unlocked X number of achievements out of a total of Y.
Lastly comparing your achievements is a pain in the ass and even when you finally manage to do so it doesn’t make for an interesting comparison since none of the achievements have a value attached to them.
So, you saying that you do not care about Steam achievements does not surprise me. I find myself not caring to much about my Steam achievements eithor. If you haven't tried PS3 or 360 how can you judge them?
