Did someone really say that or is toastboy making this up? Because to be honest, in all likelihood, if someone did want to bet a permaban, they'd avoid this thread like a plague or toastboy is just using this thread as an attempt to gloat...

I mean I understand people thinking Kinect wouldn't sell more than GT5 (not that I agree) but he is obsessing a little hard over the "fact" that someone said there was a permaban wager and is insisting on an apology, yet he has given no idea who said it.

I'm not sure actually....I believe I remember a couple of people saying that GT5 would sell more than KINECT but I don't ever remember seeing a permaban wager on it.

I think it was MS, they said only 3 million the whole holidays, they stealth changed it. Permabanned them.

Why are you comparing software sales to hardware sales anyways. In any case, it was pretty obvious that Kinect would outsell GT5. The hype and marketing for the system was very high and public reaction to it was very good. In GT5 defense, it actually sold better then some people (including myself) expected it to. Other people thought it would sell as well as GT3 and GT4, but we all know that's not going to happen. After 5 years in development, GT5 didn't turn out like everyone had hoped. The game is good, but it fell well below the hype that it got. Kinect on the other had, exceeded the hype it got. There were a lot of bashers on here and other sites who were hoping for Kinects demise before it even launched. It proved everyone wrong and has been a huge success.
