Forums - Gaming - Are people not expecting Skyrim to be a bugfest?

I am seeing the hypefest for Skyrim.  However, consider how New Vegas turned out, generating an article on VGChartz to not support buggy software.  Well, I am curious if people are not expecting it to have issues with bugs.  Do people think it won't be buggy or will have issues with bugs?

Not sure if this is good news or not. You know, whatever they touch don't instantly turn to gold...!

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

ITs not the engine's fault though. Tons of games use the gamebryo engine and they don't have bugs....look up games that use the engine on Wikipedoa.

who cares?

Oblivion had many bugs and was it any less awesome and awe inspiring?

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

but Fallout New Vegas also had a lot more bugs then Fallout 3.

Obsidians fault, Elder Scrolls V won't have as many.

Obsidian was the one who made New Vegas, and beside i think thats their first huge scaled game on this generation.

Bethesda (the elder geeks themselves) are going to be developing it, its their biggest first party game.

As others have said, New Vegas was developed by Obsidian. Fallout 3 and Oblivion had bugs, but less than New Vegas.

They're also developing a new engine so it really could go either way. I expect their will be some bugs due to the scale of the game, but as long as they aren't too severe or common and the game is amazing, I won't care too much.

what, huge scale game doesn't have bugs?

Fallout NV had extra bugs... but that was by obsidian. Who's skill is interesting dialogue and bugs. But imo, beating it a week ago on PC, how buggy it is is overblown imo. Granted, it did run like shit for how crappy it looked.

Skyrim is a much smaller region than Cyrodill. Maybe that'll help.

Anyone here want to argue that Bethesda has a track record of games low in bugs?  I know of them back to the DOS days, and their games, even then were noted for having a decent amount of bugs.  Their attempts are epic, but have bugs.

So, this version of Elder's Scroll will be in an even smaller game world than the last?
