Are people not expecting Skyrim to be a bugfest?

what, huge scale game doesn't have bugs?

Fallout NV had extra bugs... but that was by obsidian. Who's skill is interesting dialogue and bugs. But imo, beating it a week ago on PC, how buggy it is is overblown imo. Granted, it did run like shit for how crappy it looked.
