I say 100 Million by the end of 2011...so yes. Also I am one of the few who still thinks the Wii will outsell the PS2 in the end. Its still $200.

I think it will by a notch even if it takes a huge dip down like it happened with the GBA. By prediction down in the sig will probably be off though: 105-115m is far fore likely.

But still quite a difference when you compare with the PS2 - Sony's console would still double it's total sales when compared to this month back in 2004 and here we are arguing if the Wii is already over 75% of it's total sales or not...

I think it will, but not by much. It's certainly past its peak and won't have another 2008 or 2009 type year. Not even a price drop to $150 will give it another year like 2008/09.

I'm thinking:

End of 2010 - 79-80 million

End of 2011 - 90-94 million

End of 2012 (with a new Wii in November) - 100-105 million

End of 2013 (full year of a new wii to compete with) - 105-110 million

The PS2 is at 138million (according to VG) and still gonna sell a few million more. You really think the Wii can double its current lifetime sales even though its past its peak?

I honestly do not know how much longer it will last and will wait for the holidays to end before I am 100% ready to make a prediction, but with how things are going I doubt it will ever touch the PS2's lifetime numbers.

I see posts about how it is above PS2 numbers at this time, but that means absolutely nothing because Nintendo will not have the Wii distributed worldwide like the PS2 was and will not have the boatload of support the PS2 did either, so lining up sales at this point in each of their lifetimes is useless if you ask me.
