when is this game coming. its one of the few titles that is keeping me from trading in my Wii

Character model wise Xenosaga 3 is definitely better. But, world/environment wise Xenoblade just destroys it. The Xenosaga series is pretty linear and this isn't.


Yea i just meant chracter models i dont understand how the characters look worse than in xenosaga not saying the characters in xenoblade look horrible just that they could have been done better. Though maybe the awesome environment took to much time lol.


The characters looks worse probably because of the world being so big. They had to compensate somewhere...

Nope. MH Tri, Xenoblade and Last Story are still not using the TEV much. Barely anything except for a particle effect here and there. It uses next to no power on the CPU and GPU to make textures look fantastic. If your familar enough with post and processing. You can see that the 3 named games are using straight textures with some lighting and classic rendering techniques from 12 years ago.

From best looking games. No. If you count well designed textures for atmosphere and theme. Then yes the respective companies have done a marvelous job. I don't. I think they didn't want to bother with TEV that would make the games look vastly better, but didn't because it's more effort to learn TEV. So blah.



Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

TLS probably is the best looking wii game.GE , in videos looks amazing , so that might be a contender.

 

RE4 and TP really, are in a league behind, due to gc limitations more than anything(poly count and textures being the main offenders).The more i replay those games the worse they look compared to my current Wii games, which dont even look as good as the upcoming TLS.

What, you mean like Oblivion? Those character animations were beyond dire IMO
