Nope. MH Tri, Xenoblade and Last Story are still not using the TEV much. Barely anything except for a particle effect here and there. It uses next to no power on the CPU and GPU to make textures look fantastic. If your familar enough with post and processing. You can see that the 3 named games are using straight textures with some lighting and classic rendering techniques from 12 years ago.
From best looking games. No. If you count well designed textures for atmosphere and theme. Then yes the respective companies have done a marvelous job. I don't. I think they didn't want to bother with TEV that would make the games look vastly better, but didn't because it's more effort to learn TEV. So blah.
