The Wii has dropped from the level it once was, and 360/PS3 just seem to be getting better and better. I would expect the following next year to be a regular thing.

NA - 360 > Wii > PS3
EMEAA - Wii = 360 = PS3
Japan - PS3 > Wii > 360

Obviously the HD consoles will never match the Wii on WW numbers. But matching and surpassing it weekly is looking like it could be a regular thing.

hard to say, but Ive seen a few people I know buy their "First" Xbox 360 because they feel the slimline is more reliable and it definately uses alot less power..  Id have to say they are getting new users overall in my experience alone on Xbox live Ive talked to some new owners on halo 3 the other day.. I was starting a smurf acount at recruit level on halo ( this means your less then level 1 for non halo fans ) and killing people like I was playing against bafoons....and finally talked to a few who were new..

And to be fair you're seeing more people buy all consoles that have never owened them, but of course you expect that as prices go down and/or you get more hardware ( i,e bigger hardrive, etc ) for less..

Yeah, that could possibly happen, but I'm not gonna make any predicitions. If there's one thing I've learned here at VGChartz, it's that predicting future sales makes me look foolish. All the time.

It's why I've moved on to software, much more safe for me there.

Why such a drop for 3D Dot Game Heroes in the US this week? Didn't the game just get officially dropped to $30?

MS and Sony's hardwork finally paying off, I say they certainly deserve to be top in those respective regions.

Sure. And I keep on not liking it, but I'm amused by it still proving wrong all its haters so eager to declare it dead.    It will exceed 60M before year's end and 70M lifetime aren't out of reach. And it's already the best selling ever portable not made by Nintendo, besides being one of the best selling multimedia players too, behind Apple ones, obviously, but better than Zune and many other models and producers.
