hard to say, but Ive seen a few people I know buy their "First" Xbox 360 because they feel the slimline is more reliable and it definately uses alot less power.. Id have to say they are getting new users overall in my experience alone on Xbox live Ive talked to some new owners on halo 3 the other day.. I was starting a smurf acount at recruit level on halo ( this means your less then level 1 for non halo fans ) and killing people like I was playing against bafoons....and finally talked to a few who were new..
And to be fair you're seeing more people buy all consoles that have never owened them, but of course you expect that as prices go down and/or you get more hardware ( i,e bigger hardrive, etc ) for less..
