Forums - Website Topics - Is there a way to block the god-forsaken Off Topic forums from my sight?

I also miss being able to filter the off-topic threads out of the hot-topics box (although I try to avoid rantings and ravings from the right wing of the social-political spectrum).

Sometimes it's possible to avoid the off-topic threads by their titles, but sometimes not: There's no indication on the gamrConnect page of what forum each thread belongs to, and you can't see the full thread titles by mousing over them.

But, to me, this is the bottom line: The VGC2.0 hot-topic box was substantially more functional than the gamrConnect hot-topic boxis. It had an indication of each thread's forum, ability to filter by forum, ability to filter out off-topic threads, full thread names, number of total replies, and number of new replies. Why was all of this functionality removedin VGC3.0? Why not bring it back?

Yeah, I liked it when off-topics was not part of the hot forum topics list from previous versions.

LOL! Never had that problem! I get all the off-topic discussions I need on campus! I harly ever notice off-topic threads here!

So whats the issue with left wing gamers? As far as I know this is a free forum.

 

Easy solution for your problem: stay out of it, and dont act up like you allways do...

I've heard others say the same thing, but honestly it is where the big controversial people post. (is religion responsible for war, or insert crazy sex thread here for example). Besides, on this forum you get mocked for believing in a religion and your a wacko who doesn't believe in obvious science (like those giant leapes in evolution or the big bang which no one has proof for, but we should believe theories without questioning). Most religion threads are meant soley to put religion down, so why not throw sex in there. If it really is a problem make each one an individual forum, but that is making it too small.

As for off topic being too small, it's not like you can't browse both, and there are still the NHL, soccer, football, music, basketball, racing and other threads.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
