yea, I've known about that for a while. The problem is the same reason they didn't go HD this generation. The TV adoption rate is too low, and red/blue glasses suck. The 3DS has a huge benefit in 100% adoption rate no matter what.
Again, as stated earlier, Nintendo didn't copy Sony, nor the other way around. The reality is 3D for PCs has been pushing the envelope the longest and is the only one that currently exists. I mean heck Sega had stereoscopic 3D on the master system, but that flopped horribly. However, Nintendo might be the first to get a portable 3D without glasses device on the market.
