Sign me up for Xbox 360 and PSP ... maybe DS. if this is a Necro thread then nvm sorry to bother,

you don't just sign up, you write a review for something we haven't reviewed that released in the past 90 days.  Make sure you write a review that sticks to our established scoring categories and format and that you think would be good enough to post on the site.  PM it to Naz and if we like it then you'll be signed up.

I guess I might give the 360 or the Wii a whirl, can't say that about the DS or PSP since I never got around to playing enough on either of them.

It's also very understandable why you don't need PS3 reviewers seeing how he site s teeming with PS3 fans, but PC? I didn't see that one coming, that's for sure.

Well aside from MMOs, which we don't really review, there are only like 6 announced PC exclusives over the next 2 years, and we do have PC reviewers (Myself, Machina, SSJ, Sqrl when necessary). Since most other PC games are multiplat, it's not a huge issue.

Aren't there any differences between the multiplatform games? For instance Metro 2033 and Dragon Age:Origins are quite different than their 360 ounterpart it seems.

There is almost always a huge difference. That's why we keep console and PC reviews separate.

@coolbeans - we're open to recruiting new reviewers even when we're not doing a recruitment drive, so you should be fine. Just remember the '90 day after release' rule.

I don't think I explained my question right.  I'm pretty sure all the games I've bought within the 90 days after release have already been covered by VGC reviewers already.  Can I wait for something like SC: Conviction to come and send my review for that your way after I've played it or would I be able to review a game VGC's already reviewed (of a recently released game) but have nanza be more stringent on my review?

@the first part - yes you can wait for a new game to release (although Conviction will get reviewed by us, so you might end up back at square one).

@the second - the issue there is that the review someone submits is usually the one they'll post on the site first, and since the editors will have done a complete edit on it by that point, it's really more efficient if it's for a game we haven't reviewed yet. You might want to PM Naz though and see if he'll make an exception.

Yeah I'll do that then.  Any chance he lets random VGC users who want to be reviewers get "dibs" on a new releases :P.

I had to claim GoW3 at midnight.

So, no.

But wait, I thought there wasn't a need for PC reviewers because the PC got few games and the rest were multi-plaform. If the multi-plaform games are so diferent, I never buy the same game on 2 different platforms ever, wouldn't that invalidate the original reason?

If you guys are really in a pinch for 360/Wii/DS reviews, I can help out. I know I said I didn't want to do reviews but I'd hate to see you guys miss out on some games for those platforms until you can get more reviewers on board.

I'm actually surprised those platforms are struggling to get reviews considering that the review team is NA-based and those are the three best-selling platforms in the region.

wait wait, so, just to be certain, we write reviews for a game that we have right? you aren't sending us games for us to review for our "test reviews" right?

We don't really have enough PC readers on the site to justify doing a PC version over a console version. And if we do both, they have to be relatively similar. Getting similar opinions from two different reviewers is difficult. The first reviewer would have to do both.

So you see why we don't go down that route.

Or we could have them both write reviews and then have them duel with pistols to see whose review gets posted.

Just an idea.
