Famboy party f**k yea
This matters how?
sony is simply taking an existing technology and trying to make it better under their brand, while attempting to appeal to a pre-existing or new audience... Something that every business does.
Shame on Sony right? :rolls eyes:

stop making valid points! nobody will listen to stuff lika that!
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
- George Orwell, ‘1984’
Good way to get it out to their new target group for the motion device.. So what's the problem ?

It can do more than the wii mote though. It's the next level. Natural progression. Just like the rumble and the analogues, sony took the idea and improved it.

Sony have historically improved upon those ideas though, so it's not all bad. Analogue -> Dual Analogue Rumble Pak -> Built in Rumble Anyway... Or even the PlayStation Memory Card... Surely that was the first to be uber popular, with 100M+ sales of the console... Why don't we ever hear anything about that? Both Wii and 360 STILL use Memory Cards. |
The problem the innovations you listed (CD, DVDs, memory cards) is that they don't have much to do with playing the games itself. All of that stuff is supposed to be invisible to the gamer, anyway - it mainly shows up in lower costs for games.
Nintendo's innovations - the D-pad, Rumble, Analogue, Wiimote, etc. change the gaming experience. Also, none of these are logical progressions - without Nintendo, motion controls probably would not have taken off (yet). Historically, Nintendo has clearly been the main innovator here, which is why people are quick to harp on Sony for this latest move. The problem seems to be Sony fans denying Nintendo any credit, along with the other side feeling compelled to drive the point through (so they bring it up in every damn thread).
Ah, whatever. As for the topic, it's funny at first, but not such a big deal in the end. Nintendo is the market leader, after all.

Natal is nothing like the wii controller because the idea is based off of the eyetoy...

The Eyetoy failed cause it sucked.
Which is worse? The tag being added or people using it as a means to score points?
This is genius. It is to make sure that if you search the wii, you see this. Thus maybe you will buy this instead.
