by the way LO deserved twice those sales and BD deserved half. |
I liked LO a lot, played a lot of it at a friends house.
dunno bout blue dragon, it looks weird
From the logo The LAst Story seems to be more of a LO style game

Bah, I was hoping it would not be real time. I like real time but I would have preferred turn based. O well, I think Arc Rise Fantasia is suppose to be turn based at least.

turn-based never made sense for me.
i mean, i enjoy it but it really hinders me from being emerged in the game.
"ok hold on. im gonna attack you dont move ok thank you now its your turn"
i guess thats why tales of symphonia is my favorite rpg :3
I don't care if its real-time or turn-based, but turn-based is harder to screw. I can tolerate most of them, while half of the action rpg's suck(their combat).
It's fine with me. Arc Rise Fantasia and Dragon Quest X will both be turn-based.
"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."
"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."
Turnbased is perfect when you just want to relax and play half lying in your sofa
with realtime you need to be alert and focused way to much and that doesn't work when you are hangover
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints
Thank the Nintendo Gods, if true.
I would prefer real time, as it is more engaging, but turn based is something I could live with if the entire game is well designed.
That said, my fav turn based rpg's are FF series...my fav real time RPG is Mass Effect series...and for me personally, because I am not a huge RPG nut, Mass Effect > FF.
But thats just me. Mass Effect just does what I personally like in a game.

Somewhat iffy on this, If done right it could be awesome. I personally didn't like Kingdom Hearts after the third or forth hour.
