While I expect a lot of us got out first console from our parents as kids, what was the first console you bought for yourself, and what made you choose that one?

My first console that I bought with my own money was the Nintendo 3DS. At the time I was recently working at my first job at the time so I was starting to make some income. One day after soccer practice, I decided to drive over to Target curious to see because I remember how the day after the console price would be reduced to $170 and those who bought 3DS before then would be part of the ambassador program which gave them 10 NES and 10 GBA games. So I was looking at the 3DS section at target and I saw that the prices were cut earlier. So I decided to buy a black Nintendo 3D And was able to register to be part of the program for $170. I didn’t get a game with it because my 18th birthday was happening soon, but at least I had those AR games to mess around with to pass the time. And for my 18th birthday, my family got me Ocarina or Time 3D and Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D

My first was the Game Boy Color. Peak Pokemon mania, mowed neighbors yards throughout the summer of 2000 to get it. Just in time for the launch of Gold and Silver. Although I originally got it for Blue and Red lol.

My first home console I bought was the Halo 3 edition 360. Had to be ready for the launch of Halo 3!

I bought a PS3 because I really wanted to play Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
