Jet Set Radio using AI slop when it's a game about creative expression and rebelling against the system would be the most tone-deaf move ever.

You might as well quit gaming because every developer is going to be using generative AI support tools eventually. It makes an artist's job so much easier and faster that it's suicide to not use them when everyone else is grabbing that competitive advantage. Time is money. Just ask Larian Studios.

Every single video game other than a tiny minority from solo devs or small indie teams that go out of their way to purposefully avoid using it will have "Gen AI" involved in the creation process going forward so it makes no sense to single out Sega here. Software development and AI go hand in hand now since it's far too useful for that field now to not use so some people are gonna need to get used to the days of video games being made without AI assistance ending since that's already happened.

Then there's no authenticity in Larian Studios. They're basically training artists on their own replacements.
