Finally a true generational jump. Also looks interesting in terms of setting
Makes sense. S2 is a viable platform that is selling well. Not my platform of choice, but I could see it pushing some copies in the market.

Switch 2
3.5 years of that 10 year binding agreement to bring CoD to Nintendo will have already passed by then!
But hey it finally arrived, as long as it runs at 60fps in multiplayer. Though probably better with a pro controller than the smaller joycon sticks.
About time they dropped support for the gen 8 consoles. No longer being held back by those combined with this likely being the first game to use version 10 of the IW Engine should hopefully make this entry a notable leap like MW 2019 was which is good since after the major underperformance of BO7 this one will need to impress and be a hit especially since GTA 6 will be coming out a month later and will suck up mainstream gaming attention for the rest of the year.
If it's not received that well and thus doesn't repair the recent brand damage then the series could get into some genuine trouble so this is a relatively important entry for sure. It being the first time COD comes to a Nintendo platform in over a decade is also notable. It'll be interesting to see how well that version does and long term if they manage to continually build up an audience on the Switch 2.
I love Call of Duty, but only for the Campaign.
Bring me a decent solo campaign, and I'm sold.

Played and really liked BO2 then bought Ghosts (both on the WiiU) and kind of burnt out on that one. A buddy talked be into buying Vanguard to play with him and I was really disappointed with it.
The trailer for this looks good and I may buy it just to represent on the Switch BUT I will need good reviews and the file size can't be too large. So I would say the odds are probably poor of me purchasing it based on file size alone.
Edit - Nintendo would have to get all the maps and modes too (unlike the WiiU versions) and it would have to be cross play.

I think They confirmed that Switch 2 version will have crossplay

Nice; as someone who quite enjoyed COD on Wii/Wii U/360, (and has been slowly working through the PS4/5 entries) I'll definitely pick this up.
Cool to have the series finally back on Nintendo after all these years; I was 24 when ghosts came out and I'm 37 now haha.
Also, Switch 2 version will feature mouse controls and cross progression: https://www.gonintendo.com/contents/61222-call-of-duty-modern-warfare-2-on-switch-2-supports-mouse-mode-and-cross-progression
If the Switch 2 version supports gyro it's over. I don't think the other console players are ready for the Splatoon players' insane accuracy.
