A new survey that questioned thousands of CEOs found that more than half admit to seeing no significant financial benefit from AI to date.

In total, 56% said it hadn't produced benefits, 22% said their costs actually increased, while just 12% said it had increased revenue and reduced costs.

Good.

Maybe these CEOs will back track, AI purchases will decrease dramatically, and these RAM and component prices will drop back down to more reasonable levels and consoles and PC prices can go back to normal.

One would hope it stays that way, but probably not.

I mean when you look at it, with coding, AI still makes a bunch of mistakes or nonsensical things that you can't possibly trust it to launch any kind of a major product with.

For actual video production, it can't really be used for much right now because it has no consistency image to image and you can't fine tune every element of the frame.

It can do concept art probably, be even there it doesn't really always convey things perfectly just from text prompts.

Don't be fooled. This is just CEOs saying that they are in the early stages of transforming the work-place to revolve around AI. Nothing is changing, it's just starting to ramp up.

"Nearly three-quarters expect it to significantly boost profitability over the next 12 months, despite the fact that most haven't seen meaningful gains so far."

That's the line that matters the most. If anything, a lot of the blame seems to be directed at employees for not adapting to AI integration fast enough.

Yeah, it's early days still for AI and its applications and implementations.

This.  I remember the days when Amazon wasn't turning a profit..  and Apple was struggling.  What is true today, doesn't predict tomorrow.

AI, when used properly is quite excellent.

“Consoles are great… if you like paying extra for features PCs had in 2005.”

I’ve said it before, but if people are afraid of something that could greatly increase productivity, the problem isn’t AI, it’s this society.

That’s not to dismiss other concerns such as self-aware AI but that’s not what I see people talking about.

Interesting to hear but we all know the end result is that it will increase productivity. I don't think anyone that's used it for research, maths, coding etc doubts this. It is inevitably the future but it's not perfect.

It has helped me.  My daughter is doing advanced maths, been a long/long/long time since I did that type of math.  I can use copilot get, refreshed in 30 seconds and help her out.  without copilot it would take me hours to refresh.  the utility is there.

So lets say they increases the AI uses all over the world and millions upon millions will lose their jobs.. who are going to buy the stuff that they use AI to build/create when no one have money anymore??

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)
