Maybe he's on a self-imposed exile. With the way the internet is, I sometimes do the same thing. It can be good for a person.

I disappear every now and then for spells. Sometimes real life just needs more attention: family (kids especially), moving and getting established in a new place, getting education. Really anything that creates a lot of unknown variables.

What’s most wild to me is how he went from being so active to suddenly being totally absent. I’m just a little worried. Hopefully nothing truly awful happened. That’s an extreme shift for somebody to make after 18y of consistent activity.

Rol has been missing now for over 3 months. Unexpected for someone with tons of posts and has been on here 2007.

I was wondering that too, and I do kinda miss him bringing up some of his excellent points. I hope he's OK, but it's not like I'm not going to worry about it either (gotta draw the line somewhere, and I just don't really know him).

He had mentioned the sales stuff not being as interesting nowadays and was increasingly posting on the politics section so one possibility is he decided that this place wasn't worth it any more. Though even then not coming back for the quarter report in November is strange since in his shoes I'd have at least waited till the road to 160m thread had fully run its course before leaving. Maybe he'll be back by the next report in February or the one in May since that one will give Nintendo's forecast for the next fiscal year.

I also noticed Ryuu went from posting profusely to seemingly not at all. I hope he's okay.
