Gabe probably just sold plenty of Xboxs with his simple statement of which is better out of the PS5 and Xbox with a straight answer of "The Xbox."

The host from the show asked him "why?" and he responded "Because it is. I don’t have a stake in that race," he added. "Obviously, we do most of our development on personal computers, but of the two I would definitely go with an Xbox."

Unfortunately Gabe didn't go into detail as to why the Xbox is better, could this be due to Sony's partnership with Epic? Or Tim Sweeney praising of PS5 of recent times, no body knows, however Gabe has a lot of weight to his opinion compared to the majority and i am simply interested in knowing why he thinks so.. is it because the Xbox is better overall or because of his rivalry with Epic Games, where he will bank the other bus.

At least fanboys gives a reason to why they prefer a system. However stupid that reason may be.

Well, he was a Microsoft employee for thirteen years and he left on good terms when he founded Valve.

Fanboys don't give (Actual) reasons to own a console. That's why they are fanboys. They speak on knowledge they no nothing about aside from trying to convince others based off brand loyalty. Gabe is a neutral customer to both brands and probably could care less out of either of them however this question is more to do with if he had to choose..

His sole focus is PC gaming.

That is about as good of a compliment as Patcher predicting your device will sell a lot. I like Steam for what it introduced years ago, but their quick abandonment of Steam Link after I bought it ticked me off, and their refusal to make sequels to games people want (or sell the IP to other studios that would make them happily) or make them locked behind some niche technology that won't really become mainstream for decades has annoyed me.

Well Gabe gives no reason at all. Hes obviously not neutral. He hated the PS3 as well at first. Im sure he will come out at a PS5 event looking like a hostage again after a few years when he need Sony to sell his products though. 

Why? It still works, doesn't it? They didn't stop supporting that hardware, they just stopped selling the hardware when it came redundant, since a lot of other devices can do the job (iOS, Android, Raspberry Pis and many Smart TVs can run the Steam-Link-App).
