UPDATE: Kotaku's Jason Schreier says he has heard from insiders stuff that is in line with what was posted in 4chan. The project is code-named Empire.
Apparently AssCreed could have a bi-annual approach from now on to evade more franchise fatigue.

- Take this with a grain of salt but some supposed dev from the series went to 4chan (the place you all trust for info leaks) and said the following:
Dev here.
Egypt. There won't be an AC in 2016.
You may screencap this and refer to it when nothing is shown in E3 2016. You'll have to wait until 2017 for it.
The reason: It will be a complete revamp of the series. The game is going for a Witcher feel, with player progression, freeform combat system. Horse is back, and boats too. It s made by the Black Flag team.
You may leave any question you want answered.

So yeah, it may be someone trying to bullshit some info but it presents some questions:
1) Do you believe Ubisoft could have it in them to drop the yearly release of the game and try to bring forth something that impresses gamers?
2) Do you still care about the franchise?
3) Are there any elements from The Witcher you think could favor the Assassin's Creed games?
4) How fun do you think playing in Egypt could be?
5) Do you think AssCreed needs to be revamped? How could they improve the game?
Rumor: Watchdogs 2 coming later this year
Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:
