The Characters, specifically..... Yuna.

Everytime I hear her speak I get a warm fuzzy feeling. She is so wise beyond her years, and holds herself with poise.

In response to Donna hassling her for having so many Guardians:"I only have as many Guardians as I do people I trust. I would do anything for them, as they for me"

When asked why even bother with Sin knowing he will just come again: "If I can give these people even one moment of peace, one moment of happiness......Don't tell me it isn't worth it!"

Yuna is just not like the other female characters you see in games. She is not there to just simply supplement the heroic male lead. If anything, Tidus is there to supplement her. She takes on such a burden in so many ways, and then she hides her inner strain with a gleeful smile. Yuna is placed into many predictable  situations but the way she reacts to them is anything but. Al Bhed kidnaps her? Breaks herself out. Sociopath becomes obsessed and wants to marry her? She says yes but uses it as a ruse to kill him. Sin is immortal? Who cares, she will stop him or die trying.

How Story Elements Echo in the Game World/Mechanics.

Has anyone else ever payed attention to positioning in the Sphere Grid? Which by te way is one of the best leveling systems ever IMO. Just after you get Rikku, and you fall through the ice, Rikku makes a comment about how she wants to be more "Mature like Lulu". The dialogue aludes to this just meaning physically but really she is envious of Lulu's tempered demeanor and no nonsense attitude. Just around when you reach HOME in the desert, Rikku's SG paths start to lead into Lulu's. Appropriate  as Rikku did some maturing in those following scenes.

Tidus spoke of anywhere Yuna goes, he will follow; how he wants to protect her always. Tidus is the weakest character over all before the half way point but once he progresses somemore you find he skyrockets to the top(in Str and HP). He also starts to learn more and more white magic in his field, making him the perfect supplemental Palidin build. Palidin have always been associated with protection.

Everything in the main story can be pinpointed at one crucial element...... the Pyreflies. They build up not only fiends but the fayth, Sin, Magic,...Tidus, Auron. They even are the basis of the Save Spheres.

The inspiring Phylosophies behind the Game

The game deals with many different Dualities:Yuna which is the Moon, peaceful and trainquil. Tidus is the Sun, jubilant and radiant.  Yu Yevon was the Beggining just as Sin signifies the END. Yunalesca, the first summoner to bring forth the Final Aeon and defeat Sin, Yuna was the last. Tidus and Yuna, Lenne and Shuyin, two loves that defied the status quo of what most just accepted as fact.

Seymour, in all his Crazy actually brought up valid points in his effort to "save" Spira. His goal was simply to put the people of Spira finally out of their misery. When put through unspeakable tortures day in and day out, some will simply beg for death...for it to finally be over. Seymour saw the situation, and sought to beat it at its own game. With the never ending cycle of rebirth and destruction, he thought why not choose perma-death where Sin can no longer hurt anyone. All the people of Spira could actually take back a new sort of life, with a pyrefly existance. Sin could no longer hassle the already dead.

Everything in Spira is related to Dreams. How our own thoughts can bring all manner of things into actual existance. The games also dwell on Histories inevitable desire to repeat itself. There will always be Sin. There will always be a Vegnagun. Power struggles. We choose whether it is to our benefit or mutual destruction.

Loved Final Fantasy X, didn't care for Yuna too much tough. I found Lulu and Rikku to both be better characters than her.

I loved FFX but I hated FFX-2... X has some pretty cool characters, Auron would be my favorite, along with Rikku. Strangely enough though; I almost never like the main protagonist in FF games.

FF X is amazing, yes, but X-2 ? Just as an example: making Yuna, such a strong character, a f***ing popstar ? No, just no.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

Lol this comment is kind of stupid. I mean theres no more Sin... like at all, of course it is a very different world.

Her role in life is to bring joy to others, now that Sin is gone she becomes an entertainer which can you believe it brings joy to others O_O

Sorry for being a smart ass with my reply =P

FFX-2 I can understand but FFX?

Game with Job System vs game without Job System.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

FFX was the last mainline FF I really enjoyed (I´m playing FFX Remaster at the moment), but I´m feeling tempted to go back to the franchise via FFXIV on the PS4.Most of the comments I read about A Realm Reborn are nothing but praise.

I agree OP Rikku is mah FF Waifu though.

Screw some of you guys, FFX-2 was a good game! :P

I think its brilliant, knowing that the world got through depression and now its kind of split in a number of factions, exactly like how it is today when a dictator is overthrown and then people split in two or three and they fight each other for stupid reason, sure you got the liberty now that Sin is gone, they can have parties and the younger generations can shape the future but instead they all fight the same fights that their fathers fought and thats exactly what happens in the real world, and it also good to see the character Yuna being more selfish instead of "Trying to save the world" she went on and had her own adventure for herself not for Spira, because you know what? fuck spira it didn't do her any good, they expected her to die for them but she did not,  once sin is gone every body wants to rule the world suddenly, and everyone became a bad person in their own way, just exactly like what happens when a dictator is overthrown, Spira was in Chaos but it wasn't between good and evil but between people themselves.

To me FFX-2 is one of the best sequels because of this, not many games continue the story after the "Bad guy" is killed, they did that with FFIV too.
