I am SO looking forward to this! In all of Tolkien's work Smaug was my favorite character. So powerful and mighty he played and was curious with his enemies.

He lived a very long time, but ultimately that was his downfall. Curiosity.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Obviously a must see at the theater but I think it looks a little too much like Harry Poter. A bit too light-hearted and childish. Well childish is not what's wrong, it's that it is too much comedy and slapstick. I would rather they made it dark even though the book is a children's book.

I agree! And YEA! Another High Frame Rate fan!

I know some people don't like it, but I think the higher frame rate is a great step. I would still like it higher. The new Cameron's Avatar's a rumored to be 3D at 60FPS, at least right now.

I still want 120, but I have high ambitions.

Looks pretty neat!
I read the book years and years ago, but I don't recall there being quite so much action in it, tbh...

Also, Legolas' eyes look weird.
