I think it is time to start a thread to gather our predictions for 2008. I will start: prediction #1: In combined worldwide sales, the Wii will every single week outsell it's competition (this will be clearly true, this year only with european PS3 launch and Halo3 the competition could outsell the Wii worldwide). prediction #2: The Wii will catch the sales of the XBOX360 in America in April. prediction #3: GTA4 sells the double amount of copies on XBOX360 than on the PS3. prediction #4: After Q1 2008 XBOX360 will have 33 million seller games,Wii will have 20 and PS3 will have 8. prediction #5: Hardware after 2008: DS - 90m PSP - 39m Wii - 44m XBOX360 - 24m PS3 - 18m What are your predictions?

1. Wii will outsell 360 and PS3 for most of the weeks, in every region
2. KH3 will be announced for Wii
3. PS3 will sell more in 2008 than this year, 360 less
4. 360 will outperform PS3 ww 1st half 2008, 2nd half will go to Sony
5. GTA4 will sell the best on 360 and will boost 360 sales
6. No FF13, GT5 this year in the west
7. MGS4 won't sell more than 2 million copies
8. WiiFit will be in the US software top 20 all year
9. Wii will catch 360 sales in US end April
10. More hardcore games will come to Wii, it will be the JRPG machine

End of year 2008:
Wii: 40 M
360: 23 M
PS3: 17 M

For 2008, Wii will pass 50% marketshare WW, for the rest check my sig :)

Well, I guess I better add a different perspective to this thread.

I think Wii will control NA for the majority of the year, expect when MGS4and GTA4 are released. If GT5 is released this year, which is a bit hit and miss at the moment, then I expect the PS3 to outsell the Wii that week as well.

In terms of worldwide, PS3 will start gaining ground on the 360 around the middle of Q2. They will continue to sell around the same amount WW each week until then, with the PS3 slowly gaining more ground in NA to help push WW sales. Obviously, GTA4 will give the 360 a massive boost in NA but I expect the PS3 version to sell better in Others, which will offset the NA increase slightly.

End of the year:
Wii: 36-40 Mil
DS: Hell knows what this little bastard is capable of; 98 mil
PSP: 35-40 mil
360: 24 mil
PS3: 18-20 mil

#1: WW million sellers at the end of 2008:

X360: 50
Wii: 35
PS3: 15

Wii: 30M
360: 22M
PS3: 25M

I will add some more. prediction #6: Devil May Cry 4 sells more copies on PS3 than on the XBOX360. (I'm crazy) prediction #7: Million sellers for each platform at the end of 2008: XBOX360 40-45, Wii 30-35, PS3 10-15. prediction #8: Best selling game on each platfom released 2008: Wii - Super Smash Brother Brawl, XBOX 360 - Grand Theft Auto 4, PS3 - Gran Tourismo 5 (I hope it will make it 2008).

You people HATE THE PLAYSTATION 3. Well what do you expect? Sony destroyed nintendo twice in a row, you dont want them to have a chance in doing it agan.
