15) There will be shown new GREAT PS3 exclusives, which will OWN everything.

That was the average prediction.

Crazzyman predicted:

Wii: 13-18.5M (~ 16M)

Ps3: 15M

X360: 7.5M

 

Actual:

Wii: ~ 26M. Crazzyman was about as far off as the average.

Ps3: ~ 10.5M. Crazzy over-estimated it, but if Ps3 hadn't stopped up in October (which nobody expected), he would have been equally close as the average.

X360: ~ 11M. Crazzy was slightly closer than the average, but in reality spot on.

 

So, he over-estimated the Ps3. That's the only really bad thing (Wii is bad too, but everyone was equally bad). He did decent enough.

Where did you get those average predictions? They must have been really bad, if they allow someone who predicted PS3 to pass 360 in 2008 to be closer than the average (not to mention massively off on the Wii).

@Oyvoyvoyv, CooL, you did my work here. =)) Though, LBP 1st week by the time of official  release week - 500k. =) 4 mln. probably not, but atleast 2 mln. will be there. =) Heavy Rain owns everything.)

Anyway, if not crisis, HW numbers would be better for PS3.) Anyway, cool, for most things was right. :)

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far
