Basically what we were talking about a few days ago, Warzone 2.0 needs to be this.

That does sound pretty awesome...

I wouldn't mind an objective in between the two bases also. Maybe an objective that brings the bases shield down allowing it to be boarded.

I have a bad feeling that 343i will ditch Warzone in Halo Infinite.

Here's Phil's and Ken Lobb's

I am surprised Phil Spencer's Gamerscore is so low. I guess he is too busy running the Xbox division and undoing all the mistakes of you know who, the guy who ran things before him.

I bet he can play lots of alpha versions that obviously don't have achievements tied to them.
At least I would do that to ensure if my upcoming first party games are any good.

No chance. Those req packs make serious money. In 2016 or 2017, they used that cash for the halo tournament prize pool. It reached 2.5 million.

I doubt that was the full amount of the req packs bought either.

It took 343i and the coalition 4 years to ship their first games after they were founded so I'm expecting the initiatives first game to be 2022 game. Unlikely we will see any sort of footage this year.

A reveal of some kind is confirmed for 2020, though it might be a pre-rendered trailer instead of in-engine. Which we get will likely confirm how far away it is from release, if the reveal is pre-rendered, we're probably looking at 2022 or possibly even 2023. If the reveal is in-engine though, like Everwild and Hellblade 2, that implies that development is pretty far along already, which might mean a 2021 release, though possibly still 2022. It really all depends on if the rumors of other 1st party studios assisting them with development while they were expanding were true, and how extensive that help was.

I'd be surprised if we actually get any sort of footage. If they intend to reveal the game it might be a press release with some images.

Tbf 343 Industries was originally set up only to be a support studio for Bungie as they transitioned away from Halo, they started Halo 4 in 2009 so that was 3 years and The Coalition went through multiple revisions, from when they actually became The Coalition and started working on Gears it was only 1 year, 6 months before Gears UE released and Gears 4 around 2-3 years.

The Initiative's goal unlike 343's and The Coalition's was clear right from the very start so they may possibly be able to release in 2021 with external support which is a given, they're currently right now hiring for a outsource manager.

You're not wrong, but the counterpoint here would be that getting a new IP off the ground is generally a lot more time consuming than making a sequel to something that's already well defined. You know….unless someone hands you an engine that's already good to go, and you have no meaningful gameplay loop to speak of.
