Damn I so want to play it. Doesn’t make my decision easier...can’t decide between PSVR or Switch after Christmas.

I would hold off on both, realistically, Switch and PSVR should both have price reduction come next full year. Unless of course $50 to $100 is not deal breaker.

Switch is a great console, and while I am not sold on VR as platform (Will get one eventually), I assume you will have use for it, but I can see waiting on both, if you are not huge on either.

If switch continues to sell very well for the first 6 months of next year i doubt we will get a price drop, also depends on their holiday line up. (Unless you meant temp drop?)

PSVR just had a price reduction and I could get one with Moves and cam for 269,- € incl. VAT. New, with warranty...got 3 days to decide. I could also use it on my PC.

Switch will hold its price as long as it’s selling and there are already 5 must play games and I definitely want one when Octopath Traveler comes out.

I’m just craving for that next level gaming experience, that excitement I seem to miss from modern gaming. I’m sure both systems will deliver that, but I’m somehow thinking VR is a bigger game changer.

Cannibalizing the competition.

This!

Pocky Lover Boy!

I'm also glad a game early in the year won GoTY, I thought that later in the year everyone would start bandwagon'ing the Zelda hate train as "better" games came out like P5 or SuperMario Odyyesey

..when a Nintendo game is getting critical acclaim.

Got it. So when Last of Us 2 hits, let's not believe the reviews. Especially if they're good.

Certain people here said the same last year when Uncharted 4 dominated Overwatch on GOTY awards, particularly when the reviews were checked from gotypicks.com, which I'm assuming is the site Miyamotoou is using.

I'd like to make a side note, if I may. The people who slandered GOTYpicks last year for Uncharted GOTY awards, who now embellish and glorify the site because of Zelda having the most GOTYs now, are acknowledging Uncharted 4 was the rightful Game of the Year last year.

That being said, it was obvious.

Might have something do with the fact this is the first ever Nintendo Exclusive to get a Undisputed Goty(consensus) in 14 years of Goty history, so now the site has credibility for these fine folks. I am sure they will change their tune when Naughty Dog gets their 4th Undisputed Goty with The Last Of US part 2 or their Sci-fi new I.P, but unless something super ground breaking releases in 2019 Tlou part 2 has goty in the bag. Furthermore The original devoured and mauled GTA V for Goty so unless we have competition on this level and caliber its easy to call kind of like 2017 for BOTW and likely 2018 for Red Dead unless God Of War or Days Gone surprise it but I doubt it happening.

I wasn't an active user last year. So you didn't hear it from me.

The GotY picks are all legit. There is no way around it.

Howver, I will say this (apart from GotY but reviews in general): The "overrated" or "paid reviews", even stuff like "Nintendo bonus" is almost always given to high scoring Nintendo games. There wasn't nearly this much commentary against Uncharted 4.

These GOTY thing are almost 95% US centric and have a very strong bias toward western games.

The fact that a japanese game come and sweep the GOTY so easily while being acclaimed like never before by the players speak volume.

Zelda is easily game of the generation and way above previous GOTY.
