Supposedly he may have been abusive to his ex.

I'm getting really sick of this victimization wave.

Most of the stories are complete BS. Only the Harvey Weinstein story seems worth the attention and consequences. Well, and the senate candidate that may have committed pedophilia.

The consequences are being far out of whack compared to the transgressions.

Honestly, Depp is a skinny guy. There's no way he abused anyone (except verbally). It's nonsense.

J.K Rowling is one of the strongest fighters against injustice/abusive people etc.

If I was a producer of a movie and I would have had an abusive actor she would be the their on twitter asking her fans to not watch the movie or create tweets about how disgusted I am because I choose money above 'women' rights.   She is exactly doing what she condemned others for.

Well of course she is... ha. What did you expect?  Its all just noise for effect and based largely on some ridiculous guilt at her position.

Like countless female movie stars keeping quiet about abuse in the movie industry, as it may affect their career, but happily pointing the finger at men elsewhere.  Weak.

I'm not really here!

She had no problem with a black english actor playing Hermione for the Cursed Child and a duller book version of Bellatrix Lestrange being played by a flambouyant but a very great actor like Helena Bohman Carter for the films. I don't think she cares. Depp is a good actor anyway.

I admit I thought Grindelwald should be more stiff but it wouldn't be interesting if they let that happen. The only reason Grindelwald didn't turn out boring because Albus fell in love with him.

If someone asks why I'm using an alt account, CGI and Truckusaurus got me a temp approval until I get my iconic and notorious "kurasakiichimaru" account back. :p

Wait what? Only fat people can be physically abusive? Im confused right now

It is beyond me how that is what you read from that.

Fuck the SJWs that demand people lose their jobs over things that they don't actually know intimate details on.

I can't believe this was ever a "controversy" to start with. Depp is a fantastic actor. Sure he may have made some mistakes in the past, but who hasn't? Alot of people find recasts downright cringey, myself included, so I'm glad they didn't recast Grindelwald.

Better reaction would have been. He played his part perfectly and that is what we pay him for. He did it so well we will shoot more movies with him. Unless he is unavle to due to an actual cinviction. If you don't agree then don't watch the damn movie.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Rowling... just another celebrity SJW without a clue (who says a lot but does nothing especially if it directly affect her). Horrible, horrible woman who should stfu.

I do find it ironic when people use the term SJW as an insult, then use the tag as a reason to justify why said person is an awful human being. It's usually along the lines of '"I used to get away with this awful action, but all of a sudden people are calling me out on it. Damn SJW's. They're the scum of the earth."

Also, given Rowling lived on the poverty line for years before she found success with Harry Potter would suggest she has a clue. I have no idea what your background is, but if you've never lived on the poverty line then she will have much more of a clue than you, and definitely more than me.

His private life doesn't have anything to do with his acting though. Or should everyone who has done something wrong in their life be banned from ever working again?

You said " depp is a skinny guy. There is no way he abused anybody" suggesting that skinny people cant abuse people. How the fuck else you think i read that? You basically wrote it?
