There will certainly be some clickbaity review to lower its score from a Forza fan masquerading as a critic. I still remember Eurogamer's Driveclub review.

Umm DriveClub wasnt that great all round on the review boards..

There are also many Sony reviews that would give this game a 10/10.

It was no 6 out of 10 game either, even at launch. It was especially disconcerting considering Eurogamer gave The Crew, a far more shallow and repetitive game, an 8 out of 10, and the reviewer'sd intentions were dubious even moreso because he was from Outside Xbox.

Hope for great reviews for this game, as it looks really great

Like 30% of Driveclub's reviews were a 6 or lower......that's not exaclty a few biased journalists trying to tank a game

For me GT games are all 10/10, but I can't objectively see any of them getting less than 9/10 for what they offer and no game on the category really upping them enough to validate those silly 6-8 grades.

I didn't say they were the only one, just the one that came to my mind first. There are plentyu of critic who have a hard on for how Forza games approach simulation and can't accept a different kind of approach towards the genre.

However Eurogamer's was a more obvious one because the reason they had for giving the game a lower score was that it wasn't open world right after Forza Horizon 2 had released, and that it was more subtle and subdued than the latter. That is a different approach to gameplay, and for my money, suits Driveclub far more. Not saying Forza Horizon 2 is better or worse, but these two games can't be critiqued through direct comparisons and the background of the reviewer makes it even more suspicious.

I'm guessing this is going to be another game where the initial review score isn't indicative of the final product. Gran Turismo games are typically heavily supported with content after launch.

The unchanging review score at launch is becoming an outdated model.

So final score will probably between 75-80. Although I guess many would expect this, since always online rarely works out well for a game. Also compared to the competition this package lacks content.

It lacks content compated to previous entries, it is pretty much an always online game. Plenty of excuses for some reviewers. Throwing overboard that this is by far the most realistic GT ever made and every car is a work of art instead of half being a rush job. More content is coming but unless the game is called Splatoon reviews don't seem to give a duck.

quite a few high scoring reviews yet to be added judging by the neogaf thread

the lack of a traditional single player component will be divisive and lead to a good number of lower scores. If it can stick around 80 despite that, it must be pretty exceptional on the track

Seems to work quite well for Overwatch.

I’ve played them all. It’s the best looking and feeling of the bunch. It’s just more fun to play and the lack in content is only imagination imho. Most people who state that usuall haven’t really played the game.

Eurogamer have said it themselves. Considering all options there is just as much singleplayer fun in this game than it was in older games, just with a much more fun AI now.

It was to be expected some mediocre reviews would be coming up. It’s a bold new take on the series and I applaud them for it, but it is controversial to some and, justified or not, it’s understandable. I’ve just got the feeling a lot of people are trying to write it off without even having tried to understand the new concept.
