Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Switch's best feature as a console

Not so much of an issue with me for any console but the PS4 and PS3. For some reason, even in sleep mode, if the power goes out we have to go through some sort of system reboot. I don't mind having to stop in the middle of a game due to power outage. I worry more about that corrupt data warning. Before my phat PS3 died, I got that "console wasn't turned off properly" warning all of the time.

I have no control over power outages that happen when my system is asleep!

Does being able to play Sonic Mania while watching South Park at 3:30 am in a King size bed count? ;-D

Nah. The best feature of the Switch is that it allows you to play in the most lazy way possible. Sure, you have to buy more stuff, but the possibility is there, it's another step closer to WALL-E's prediction.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

lol! nice save!

The best feature for me is it's speed. I use to praise my PS4 for being fast but now after using Switch, the PS4 feels like a snail.

The best feature is one that is useful about once a year or even less?

That's why I have a diesel generator.

Most consoles since the Sega saturn have a battery in them.

Sega and Sony beating Nintendo to their best feature by 20+ years.

Well, these batteries don't power the whole console, but only some chips, usually clock (so that it not forgets the current time and date).
