You pretty much touched all of the Vita Exclusives, but Salt and Sanctuary is definitely worth a look.

Edit: Oh I see you already have a 3DS. Good. Keeping the list though, because you might find some hidden gems. |
Yeah I basically own and have beaten all of those 3DS/DS games you mentioned. I Wanna play the Trails games but I'm waiting to see if they'll be ported to the Switch first.

Now the Switch has a 720p screen, and much more power. The Vita still looks good, specially the OLED but... If you already have a PS4, you won't find more than 5 or 6 games worth playing... |
Well like I said, I mainly want it so I can play my PS4 games on the Vita screen. The games I want on it, which so far is about 7, is worth it for me. I don't really care about the graphics it produces.

That would be fantastic.

The Vita doesn't last much longer...
Anyway, make sure you get a Vita with Firmware 3.60 or lower so you can get all that Henkaku goodness! The Vita is just so much better with it. You won't need those expensive as fuck memory cards with it, you can instead just get yourself a Micro SD adapter. And that's just one of the many many advantages of homebrew!

If you're a handheld enthusiast than it is worth it. Especially when the Switch is a pathetic handheld. That battery life is garbage. The 3DS/Vita are better options until they fix the Switch
Ys VIII just came out and is fantastic whether you want to play the native Vita version or just remote play the PS4 version.
Also since you mentioned third person shooters you should check out Unit 13. Its a mission based shooter that's perfect for pick up play sessions. Each mission you can choose a unit with different attributes (stealth, precision, tank, etc.) and try to get the highest score possible. I'm not into shooters at all yet I had quite a bit of fun with it, easily one of Vitas hidden gems (and it's still an exclusive).

If the switch is panthetic both the original vita and 3ds are as well.they barely last longer. It also means the last true handheld was the DS with its freaking 10 hour battery life
