Actually tigers fur color pattern is also camouflage, indeed.
Felines are the most prepared predators in the animal realm, their hunting skills and reflexes are insane, their are the badasses out there, while still looking both cool and cute at the same time, they are the whole deal.

Bears have some pretty fine skills and reflexes themselves ya know. Ever seen a Polar Bear hunting a seal?

Besides, don't nothing beat Bears raw power. They'd kick the shit out of a tiger (figuratively speaking, since I doubt they actually have much in the way of kicking skills )

Oh, and... to prevent this going too off topic... Crash 2 was a better game than Crash 3. A further reason Polar > Tiger. Plus Polar had Crash riding on his back, Tiger wasn't even worthy of that honour.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Tigers are known to take down grizzly bears, Tigers are BY FAR and AWAY one of the most athletic animals on the planet! They're INSANELY muscular and powerful - the equivalent to a bodybuilder X3. They drag their prey for miles and miles with their jaws up and down hills, etc.

Oh, and btw, Crash 3 is the BEST selling crash game so Crash 3 is the best game thus Tigers are INDEED better than Polar Bears haha.

Do NOT mess with a Tiger. Their Camouflage FAR outweighs that of bears. They literally cannot be seen by their prey in their territory. Masters of stealth! :D

Looks awesome. Are we seeing a somewhat of a resurgence in my favourite genre, 3D platformers? Only time will tell.

Yes we are! I plan on making a thread about this soon, but there are many 3D platformers coming out between this and next year, exciting times ahead!

I don't think I've ever been more excited for a remaster.

Uh, what do 'unified checkpoints' mean? Don't all the games already have identical checkpoint systems?

What's wrong with them? I always thought they were fine in all Crash games, with the possible exception of the first game not having analog support (I think).

Maybe they're referring to the save system? Because the first game had a really bullshit way of doing them. Also, the first Crash game didn't allow crouching, so sliding and belly flopping also didn't work, maybe that's what they're referring to?

I kind of think it's not about the save system, because there's a separate mention for automatic/manual saving. As for the latter remark, you could be right. I don't think adding those features is necessary, or even necessarily beneficial to the game, but that's certainly a possibility.

OK, I may know what they mean. In the first Crash, if you died after a checkpoint, you lost all of the boxes that you broke in the entire level, while in the second and third games, you only lost the boxes that you broke after the checkpoint.

I just hope they revamp the controls.... Please please please fix the controls.

in Gameinformer they mentioned that the first game had had its controls improved and that the save system was now auto as well as manual.  Also collectibles stay with you even if you die in the first one unlike before where you had to go through unscathed.

Hey, that makes sense! I didn't remember that until you mentioned it, and I'm still not sure but I think you might be right. If that's how it was, it really sucked. What sucked the most was the save system though (combined with the relatively high difficulty of the game).

It looks like we'll have a release date announcement tomorrow, Activision just tweeted this today:
