So DF just did this big thing on 4k gaming.
Now I'm not even going to get into how much you need to have a setup that matches what they use to achieve all that and them saying it's now possible or affordable and how great it is. But this is what gets to me and what I've come to notice when it comes to PC gaming.
They are hypocrites.
Simply put, Since you need ridiculously powerful and expensive hardware to attain 4k gaming at any respectable framerate at ultra settings, certain concessions are being made.
Primarily, its ok for game to run at 30fps because they are in 4k.
I find that ridiculous cause of how console games are mostly pissed on for running at 1080p@30fps. PC gamers will talk up how they could run that game at 1080p@80fps or even 1440p at 60fps, but when it comes to 4k it's ok running it at 30fps?
I don't get it......
Am I the only one who thinks this drive for 4k gaming is a gross waste of resources? And that in the grand scheme of things it's one of the most irrelevant metrics to use and measure the quality of a gaming engine or a game period. I can think of at least 5 things I would rather see more of than a 4k resolution.
