Can't tell, I remember ads making sounds even when my vgchartz tab was not open but the amount of virus attacks were crazy.

Firefox on Mobile has support for extensions like AdBlock Plus, Its been a few months since I used it, so not sure how well it works on the site anymore. Might as well try it at least.
