Any proof of that, or are your arguments based on thin air?

While there are several good hack and slash games, none is all round great like God of War series with a few exceptions, and even then they can't beat God of War at its best. I've played the entire Devil May Cry series, Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta, Dynasty Warriors 3 and 7, Ninja Gaiden, Onimusha 1 and 2, Dante's Inferno and Darksiders series and none beats it.

Now stop this condescending attitude towards people who don't share your taste in games.

Aparently when anyone else gives an opinion about your favorite thing, they're being condescending and basing their arguments on thin air.  But when you give your opinion, you're not?  Oh wait, because you played a bunch of games you simply must know better right?  Well despite how golden and holy you think your opinion might be, it's still just that, an opinion. I based what I said on quality of the games and the creativity of the battle systems. Even the creator of GOW says DMC is better.

Now you stop this clawing arrogance about your favorite thing.

It's, um, a joke, dude. Hence the "that's a joke" and the tongue emoticon at the end of the sentence. It's not meant to be taken all that seriously.

With that said, though, I do think that there are some people who haven't extended their reach far outside of the GoW series. I don't think I'm being particularly "condescending" either, considering one of them is in this thread, namely, Kitler, who posted:

I'm not attempting to belittle anyone who likes GoW and/or likes it more than other games: if you do, more power to you. It was just a light hearted joke that's not meant to be taken particularly seriously.

...did you miss the part where I said it was a joke?

Anyway, as for proof that people haven't played much in the genre outside of the God of War series, just go read some of the comments in the thread for yourself, such as Kitler 53's:

"apparently i dont' play this genre much outside of god of war."

I never said anything about God of War being bad, or that people who choose it are in any way wrong, or anything besides a joke suggestion that not a lot of people have played the genre outside of the God of War series. Honestly, if a unserious questioning of how much of the genre people have played, complete with a tongue emoticon at the end, seems "condescending" to you, then it might seriously be time to question how thin your skin is.

You know that joke wasn't in a good taste and it wasn't funny.

Kitler also said that he had played Bayonetta and Heavenly Sword, but he only liked God of War . And he's just one person. You look at various people voting here, and more often than not they have God of War 3 at first position followed by games from other franchises and other God of War games. Obviously they like God of War more despite having played a variety of games in the genre.

My reply was a little bit rude and I'm sorry for that.
