So i was on my wii u and just finished splatoons SP. When i complete a game i look through the eshop to see if i find something interesting to buy. I looked around and checked on the Super Smash Bros for Wii U section and looked at its DLC. I was shocked because i saw that on top of the page it showed that smash 4 for wii u has had 75 dlc items. I htought id share this because i think Nintendo has gone to far with DLC and i can just see this getting worse and worse with the NX. What are your thoughts?

Yeah i amiibos are pretty bad.

I just want them to cu the price of the AwakeningDLC. It's almost as expensive as the game itself, and the game is two years old.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Though those 75 items are mainly Mii Costumes which add basically nothing, and a few DLC packs so...

..but yes, Smash and FE Awakening did go overboard for DLC, though not all Nintendo games have bad DLC formulas, as these are actually add-on content and not required for the game

Smash 4 has a load of Mii costumes and then a bunch of different packs with them all together so I doubt there is 75 different kinds of DLC. Amiibo and Smash are the only 2 things where I feel they might have got a little bit too far, but apart from that Nintendo's been pretty good and the whole "they are the next EA" is just silly. Just an insult people seem to be using whenever a company does a load of DLC and they don't like it. Again apart from them 2, Nintendo's done DLC pretty well.

As I've mentioned all this year.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

What Platina said. It's really all Mii costumes and such. In my opinion, the only things worth anything are the characters and stages.
But honestly with the way they handled DLC in MK8 I still have a high opinion on Nintendo dealing with DLC.

Not overall.

Only Smash Bros and Fire Emblem Awakening have ridiculous DLC (Although the prices for the characters are fine in Smash, its the prices of the costumes and stages that are ridiculous)

The rest of the DLC is priced so well. (Mario Kart 8 is the perfect example)

They Namco'd Smash Bros. As pointed out, Awakening isn't great either. On the flipside, Mario Kart's is pretty sweet. It seems largely schizophrenic, really.

Some of that Smash DLC is like 20 cents anyway. Mario Kart 8's DLC packs are the best priced this gen. And Amiibo isn't a good example of that since you can just borrow them to unlock the content.

Ya'll tried though.
