How people still care for that game is beyond me.

Different people have different tastes. Its not that suprising. Its still a hugely popular game though, and to be fair, it has changed alot. If you were to go back you would feel completely lost cause it plays completely differently than in TBC and even WotLK. MMO's keep changing to keep things fresh. That is probably why people still play it.

Neither Sony nor Nintendo are absent from GamesCom, all three are there, Sony has the biggest area.

I don't think it will ever be topped.  This years E3 made into reality 3 gaming myths people have been wanting for so many years, and two of those were 10 plus years in the making (including the biggest and most wanted one).  Not to mention all the other great games displayed.

This years gamescom is mostly about FFXV though.  I honestly hope we just see if the story is being better constructed, but without spoilers.

It would be an incredible surprise if we got to see some well thought out dialogue, then my worries would be assuaged.  I doubt it though.

They will probably only show off more gameplay with a few story scenes.
