Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony is forcing me to go digital, but I still want physical!

As of right now I'll use Witcher 3 for my example.  The game at the moment costs 62.99 on the store if I was to preorder it today. That plus the fact there is no tax as well I end up saving about $14 overall. For me that is a fairly decent amount back in my pocket to get the game roughly at the same time.  However I love having physical versions of my console games. I don't ever trade games in nor do I rarely lend them out to buddies.  So should I just accept that if I can go digital and save some money I should do it. Is going majority physical a thing of the past? Am I just cheaping out?

I also preordered The Witcher 3 on PSN. You also get 15 bucks off the Season Pass for doing so. Its just too good of a deal to pass up. These deals however are few and far between so i'd say stick with physical.

If you're that torn you should probably just go with what you're comfortable with. I've personally gone all digital with my Vita because a lot of games don't get physical releases and those that do, like Tales of Hearts R, are overpriced.

Go digital.

If you really think about it, you're not saving anything by going digital and saving $14.  You can always sell the physical copy months in the future while it retains it's price then purchase it again at $20 in the future.  Physical can always be sold an repurchased, digital is with you forever whether you have plans of playing it again or not.

I don't do digital anymore. I don't like the idea I cant play my game if PSN is down and I accidently logged off (which happened when it went down for days after CMas).

psn- tokila

add me, the more the merrier.

Season pass shouldn't exist anyway..... Just as bad as launch DLC's

PSN: Opticstrike90
Steam: opticstrike90

Well, you could do a mix of both and trade in old games. Best way to save money so you can get more games.

Physical all the way unless there is no alternative.

I'm pro-physical! I bought Persona 4: The Golden on my Vita and I still feel terrible about it to this day x.x I want to own it physically...
