Actually it wasn't. I was surprised. Universal didn't mention Walker's death in in their ads for the movie. I actually commend them for marketing the movie like he was still alive.

I think it funny how these movies get away with being over the top with horrible story's yet transformers is hated on for it.

Well not directly... but almost every ad I saw had Ven and his "One last ride" quote.

I am the black sheep     "of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong."-Robert Anton Wilson

for me Furious 7 is the best in the series! Although I would have like it better if Tony Jaa did more crazy shit as in Ong Bak.

Sure the plot was shit and sure if you compare this to the first one the action is far to over the top. Even with all of that it still holds a special place in my heart. I love the Fast and Furious franchise. And Vin ''Badass Motherfucker'' Diesel. Who doesn't love him.

The world itself is also unbelievable. And I don't recall all the past movies being as over-the-top, cheesy.

Each film has got more and more OTT and cheesy.

6 was so far OTT with the tank and plane stuff that people were saying the same back then. 7 ups it even more and people like it, thats why its already done over half a Billion at the box office and FF6 did almost $800 Million.

People also love the Transformers and Twilight though. I also think it wouldn't have grossed $500M so quickly if PW didn't die.

Never understood the love for these movies...

Transformers and Twilight are both aimed at specific markets, same goes for Fast and Furious.

You could add any successful movie into this. It does what it was set out to do; satisfy the OTT action itch that people have. When you make that film and include the likes of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham and Michelle Rodriguez with a fuckton of fast cars and fight sequences youre gonna hit the sweet spot.

I went to see it because I wanted an action filled movie, not because I wanted a great, believable storyline. I got what I came for and I'm satisfied. Should be noted that I'm in the camp that doesn't hate Transformers, because it does what it's supposed to do very well, and people like it. If only Optimus Prime could either stop dying all the time, or stay dead...

Its about to knock 50 Shades of Gray from the top spot of the highest grossing movie of the year so far which is a good thing. It might not be great but its still miles better then 50 Shades of Gray which is a terrible movie and terrible novel.
