Well not directly... but almost every ad I saw had Ven and his "One last ride" quote.

He says that almost every movie. It's his characters seond most used line after "family".

Could you link me where he says that every movie aside from 7?

F&F has become super silly since the 4th installment but for some freaking reason of all the cheesy-ness, the dang franchise is so enjoyable that I don't mind all of it. Its like the WWE only in cinemas. lol!

Because of China

Exactly, the series peaked as far as domestic box office goes with the second movie I can see the next one making less then $200 million domestically.

FF7 has just broke the $250 Million barrier in the states and pushed on to $800 Million worldwide.

In 2 Weeks.

The franchise is gigantic.

Fun fact regarding the China thing. It just opened and it now holds the biggest ever opening day there with $68.6 Million. Just imagine what Age of Ultron and The Force Awakens are gonna do this Year. Man.

It's not for superior minds like us guys, it's for the lower common denominator, I work with one and he told me how amazing the story was and how cars go vroom.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Is it lonely up there on your pedestal, chap?

TBH I expected a disaster due to the death of Paul Walker and not finishing his scenes, which led to many reshoots and changing the plot. It turned out to be the best in the series. And the ending with the tribute of Paul was sad and full of references. It was a great send off to his character. Sure, the fast and furious isn’t the smartest films, and I feel my IQ drops every time I watch each one of the films, but they are guilty pleasure because I can shut down my brain for 2 hours and getting entertained.

Well this one is pretty much tied critically for first in the franchise and is first in terms of box office success in only 2 weeks. I just watched it myself, and I always enjoy some action+ cars.

The franchise that I was talking about when peaking domestically was Transformers.  That being said I doubt that the next Furious movie can topple Furious 7's domestic box office.
