Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sony and Nintendo need to announce something big at E3

What they have to do:

Nintendo - Reveal many new games like Metroid, Bayonetta 3, F-Zero and many, many new IPs. Lower the price of the WiiU to 150$. Reveal their next generation console that has to be at least 10 times more powerful than the PS4. Buy Capcom, Sega and Platinum Games. Offer free BJs with every game they sell and accomplish peace on earth. Then they might get better support from a few gamers.

Sony - Say "We love you". Instant win. Everyone declares them the best of E3...

"Sony and Nintendo need to something big at E3"

This thread title needs another verb.

Tbh for the last 3 years or so I was looking forward to E3's and the last 3 years I was disappointed.

So we've heard the official news that Sony's Uncharted is going to take some time off to gain some polish. As for Nintendo, the major titles we have left to expect from them are Zelda and X (which X will be highly underrated in reception). The question is how will they do going up against Microsofts titles in Rise of the Tomb Raider, Halo 5, Forza 6 and possibly Quantum Break among other announced games which haven't found homes for the final dates. I'm calling Gears of War 4 for a 2016 release date at E3, so Sony and Nintendo really have to start trying to outmaneuver Microsoft. Uncharted so far is looking lonely for 2016 and dominating whatever timeslot it gets. Now would be a great time for Sony to officially announce God fo War 4 and the new upcoming IP's from Guerilla and other first party. What do you guys think?

Do not expect Sony to blow all their load on 1 conference like MS has done last year, announcing all of their 2015 and 2016(?) titles like Crackdown, Gears 4, Scalebound etc.

Sony will stretch out the announcements over E3, Gamescom, TGS and PS Experience 2015. But yeah, I do think it's gonna be a big E3, with lots of current gen only titles. It's been 2 years and we're still stuck with cross gen games. I expect this year is when we see Fallout 4, Doom 4, New Hitman, Deus Ex, Portal 3, new Rockstar game etc

I thin Nintendo def needs to do something but Sony? Kaz l can litteraly walk out on the stage drop his pant and shit out a pineapple shaped skylander and thier system would still sell.

I think both will have good showings, because they certainly need good showings as the latter half of the year is looking poor exclusive-wise outside of Zelda.

Im expecting big things

I'd love to be wrong but I see this E3 as the last E3 where the Wii U will be Nintendo's primary focus. I see E3 2016 being used to showcase the follow-up to the Wii U...

Quick ???

don't we know how many studios each has, so through simple elimination we can make a very educated guess how many potential big announcement either one could realistically make.

Quite a few known studious have been super quiet on Sony front.

Don't think Sony need much. They can sell great with third party games supplemented with a few smaller exclusives in the holiday season. Persona 5 and Ratchet & Clank and perhaps something else for this year. MS, for whatever reasons, focus everything on the holidays, and for that reason will likely have the strongest holiday lineup each year. And for that, they pay with having an extremely lackluster lineup for the first three quarters of the year.

Sony doesnt need to do anything. Luckily their studios are all making games for PS4

Star Fox release date
Zelda Release date
Xenoblade Release date(i'm not sure they announced that)

Ideal world:

Xenoblade - august
Star fox - september
Zelda - October
November - bundles
December - bundles

that's not the ideal. and I doubt xenoblade will release that late and zelda won't be an october title. star fox is ok. maybe animal crossing will be revealed for october.
