Simple question. For the Xbox One.

Does nearly mean 9.75M shipped? Or less? From PR it could mean anything from 8.5 to 9.9M units.

So what do you think it means?

It means...nothing at all really. It could mean that they expect to ship over 10m before the end of the year (due to high holiday shipments)

Which makes a lot of sense really.

It means that MS is doing PR stuff that makes people confused/ think wrong.

I think it means . " It's 10m shipped. In a couple of weeks, or 2 months. But let's just keep saying 10m for the time being!!! =D"

It means it's the holiday, MS is stuffing the channel hoping those will be mostly sold before January first... they may be around 7 million sold mow (a little more or a little less, feel free to argue).

Sony may have much more ready to ship, as they probably hope to sell more through out.

For us, it really is nothing, they just picked the biggest number they could have and shoved it in the press material... without context it means squat, what does "soon" mean for you? and for the next guy? it may be completely different... could be June 2015 or next week...

It means they haven't shipped 10 million yet :)

It means absolutely nothing. PR speak that makes the machine sound like its done better than what it currently is.

Nearly 10 Million sounds better than anything under 10 Million.

It means it is closer to 10 million than it is to 0...

This! And it also means thy expect to ship 10 million within a timeframe of X
Can be anything from 1 to 4 weeks is my best guess.
