Could be 8million, could be 8,5million, could be 9million and could be 9,5million. Nobody knows and only MS can tell but it's a PR statement that makes it very postive when they have "10million" in there statement.

It literally means what it says. The XBone is nearing is 10 million total number of consoles shipped to retailers mark. Are these consoles sold to consumers? Negative. The point is this is MS spinning it's sales information instead just giving it to us straight. I have a feeling MS has just been feeling nervous lately after Sony was confidently able to announce 10 million SOLD to CONSUMERS, and had to come up with something to sound like they're not too far behind.

Case in point? I don't think VGC are very far off from the actual sold numbers, and I'm glad they haven't made any form of adjustments besides weekly numbers.

The more important question is how much have been sold. I am thinking a lot of those shipmenta havent been sold to consumers and has been dramatically increased due to the holidays

I love the fact that one company gives us a definite figure and some people question it but another company gives us ambiguous figures and the same people take the most optimistic estimate they can. Brilliant.
