Yep, apparently pixels are the most important part of games now |
Well, now I know the innovation of this gen: Gamers are willing to pay full price for tech demos instead of games. Yay, the future has arrived.

Anybody can buy a XB1 game without owning a XB1... |
For fuck's sake, I was joking with that post.. -____-

Wii u owners were up in arms about inferior versions of games and slowly PS4 owners are becoming upset.
Should show you all that we are ultimately fans of quality games and not these brands....
So fucking sad and petty if thats the only reason you have for not wanting a game. Developers should just stop telling us the resolution and frame rate of their games and let us see if we actually notice a difference. I bet it makes a very small difference and no one notices.
Also, play on PC if you care that much.
I'm buying this game because i think i will enjoy it, a few missing pixels makes no difference. If you don't think you'll like it then fair enough but because the game isn't 1080p isn't a good enough excuse to boycott something

With around six weeks to go until the game's launch, the developer revealed in a new expanded statement that there was still room for things to change. "Final specs for Assassin's Creed Unity aren't cemented yet," a Ubisoft spokesperson explained, "but we can say we showed Assassin's Creed Unity at 900p during our hands-on preview event last week. We're confident that gamers will be thrilled with the gorgeous graphics and how Paris is brought to life in Assassin's Creed Unity. "The development team has been hard at work delivering the best Assassin's Creed possible on next generation consoles. Regardless of which platform you're playing on, Assassin's Creed Unity will answer what an Assassin's Creed game built from the ground up for the next generation of gaming looks like and will be the best looking Assassin's Creed game ever developed." http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-10-07-ubisoft-defends-assassins-creed-unity-graphics-lock-for-parity-on-ps4-xbox-one |
So AC Unity thus far is a step down for AC4 which was 1080p 30 fps, their statement is ALREADY disproven. So by Ubisoft statement, AC Unity needs to be better than 1080p 30 fps to be the best looking Assassin's Creed game ever developed.
I'll buy it on PC if it gets a good reception. Ubisoft deserve a huge backlash for their shitty practice. Talk about bad PR lol, they could've spun this in a different way but they couldn't even form a proper sentence ("...and stuff")

From what i've seen there is far more going on in Assassins Creed Unity than Black Flag. I don't remember such detail of buildings or there being 1000s of NPCs in an area at the same time in Black Flag

I think you over estimate how important 1080p is to AC fans. You said, "I think the XB1 version may sell as much as the PS4 version because so many PS4 owners are going to pass on it." I think you're talking nonsense. So lets just wait and see what happens. Its just around the corner now. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think PS4 owners are as petty as you think. Its going to sell much better on PS4 regardless of resolution parity. |
its not just the 1080p. it the whole idea of they nerfing a verion for no reason other than parity. it is literally shooting yourself in the foot.
That is what you and a few other XB1 fans are missing. We dont care THAT much about 1080p, we prefer it but its the principle behind the whole thing. And its not "petty". They did the same thing for Watchdogs (although they did not state it was for parity, they said it was because they could not get the performance they wanted at 1080p) and it did fine, but the big difference was WD was a late may release and people really had no other options.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Mass conspiracy?? Maybe the game was developed for the XB1 and ported over, not to mention the "CPU Bottleneck" controversy in the other thread. |
That was exactly my point. There is no conspiracy. The general gamer mindset is now made up. If the PS4 version isn't better than the XB1 version, the whole group becomes delusional and complains that the game is being nerfed or held back in some way to produce parity.
It is near the end of the end....
