You dont think a significant number of "mature" games are aimed at boys 14 to 19?

I'm thinking more of games that appeal to 18-35 year olds.

It's the hormone-addled twelve year olds that are the backbone of most of the "mature" games anyway. Platinum's sense of style tends to double-cross that line to reach back to a more mature audience. |
That'd be fun to see.
"Hey dad I want this game."
"What is it?"
"Bayonetta for the Xbox."
"But you're 12!"
"But my friends have it!"
"Fine..."
"F**k yeah!"
"Boner achieve- Wait I died! Looks like I'll have to actually play the game so I can get to some good cutscenes."
"Don't you think he's too young to play that? Plus, he's been in there for an hour..."
"Nah. He's just exploring his sexuality."
"Man, I love this game! OH YEAH, OH YEAH, OH YEAH, OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!"
"I wonder how It's like to walk in on your son masturbating... Welp, here goes nohin'. HEY SON HOW IS YOUR GA- Wait... what the hell?"
"Oh yeah! That combo is so badass!!!!!"
"B-but..."
I always wondered what Nintendo fans thought of Bayonette before Bayonetta 2 was announced as a Wii U exclusive........

I can't speak for other Nintendo fans, but I have the 360 version of Bayonetta since 2011 and I always thought that Bayonetta was an amazing action game!

It was a very niche game, so not too many people knew about it in general. But I never got the seemingly generally accepted idea that people who owned a Wii last Gen never played/owned anything else, an assumption that makes people think there are no Bayonetta fans on Nintendo's consoles.

Eh, I'm sure many, many "mature" games are trying to appeal to teenagers as well. I'm not really sure how other mature games appeal to 18 to 35 but Xenoblade Chronicles X, Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Third, other Ninty "mature" games appeal to 14 to 18.

Well I'm in the ~35 demographic and from what I've seen people don't really concern themselves with how cool a game is or what have you... most are just playing shooters, driving games, or strategy games -- a couple others own a wii u because we grew up playing nintendos and we have kids and want to carry on that tradition. I don't know a single person that bought watch dogs for example --but the autistic 17 year old in Gamestop wouldn't stop talking about it when I was picking up my Mario Kart 8 preorder

It's not about "how cool" a game is.

Not even close to your distribution deal (Ninja Gaiden) Sould Calibur 2 was also published by Nintendo on GC with Link in it. But it wasn't a Nintendo game. |
It's coming to the PS4. You'll see. You'll all see...
