Well yeah it sounds pretty ignonorant when you put it that way. Or they simple just don't like to play on a PC or can't afford one. I'm not saying it's expensive but it's a little more than console gaming.

It's really not, though, when you factor in the insanely cheap games. This year I've almost stopped buying console games (4-5 games at most) while I've bought something like 50 PC games (all digitally) for a total that is probably under $200...

Regardless, Valve are aiming to make all this easier and more apparent for the uninitiated soon enough.

Well you could say that they are cheap but console games can be cheap too! You don't have to buy every release at 60 US$ xD.

The Steam Machine looks like a Pre- Built PC, which could ease the pain of building one. But they say the price is not going to be cheaper than current console or so I read in a thread yesterday.

They're terrible. I don't know about the worst but they are annoying. I have one in a group skype chat I frequent and I honestly just don't bother bringing up anything console related when that guy is around (well, non-Nintendo console related, anyway). Which sucks because he's in there more often than anyone else. Sometimes i'm just dying to tell him off like any other Nintendo/PC fanboy but I'm a nice guy. Really tired of hearing the word "peasent", though.

EDITED.

Sorry, daddy. I meant, "No exclusives except for Minesweeper."

PC gaming probably has the largest spectrum of fans of any game related hobby. It's such a broad experience spanning so many different genres and price points that you get everyone from the unbelievably intelligent and friendly, to the obsessive and rude.

So yes, PC elitists can be the worst of all, but they can also be the best.

Well the digital console prices generally suck, and since I live in Iceland the retail prices are also extraordinarily high. I shop PC games through Steam in US prices, that are far lower than Icelandic prices. Even if I lived in USA or the UK, Steam and Humble Bundle and the like are just a whole lot better at having sales/cheap prices than retailers or the console online stores.

There is not just one Steam Machine. There will be many options, all of them yet to be revealed (and the price certainly so). I can definitely see some of them being in the console price range, while others will be more expensive.

Oh so you actually buy on the US prices. Nice! I would be more digitally oriented if I could accept the fact that you don't have a box to put the game in . I still buy digitally but nowhere near as phyisical XD.

Can you give an example to why they could be the best? I 'v seen a lot of worst examples. It's nice to have a postive for a change xD

I'm fairly convinced that that is only ever used sarcastically with refernce to Yahtzee's joke

All fanboys are bad, but at least most console guys seem to love their games. If the PC crowd went around talking about how great their exclusives are, then that'd be relatively great.

This is a silly thread. Fanboys/Elitists are the worst period. Their platform of choice is inconsequential.

Well that makes you silly! For posting on it! JUM u_u .  Nah just kidding!

Well yeah all fanboy's are bad but which have the worst attitude towards you? Who are the ones who really piss you off?
