My prediction consiste in that PS4 will outsell PS3 in lifetime sales... it will be more successful than PS3 was... PS3 will sell between 110 and 115 million... so PS4 will sell over 120 million to be ahead PS3.

Well, we know next to nothing about the PS4, but trends from other systems released in the past few years would suggest that the PS4 will have a painful birth and first year at least, then if Sony gets its game together, it should pick up from there.

So I don't see the PS4 regularly doing over 100k a week within a few months of its launch. With the 3DS selling north of 150k, I think it'll be a couple years yet. In the long run, it's a possibility, but far from a certainty.

In the long run, it's safe to say the 3DS will end up around the 100 million mark. But will the PS4 get there? Unlikely. 70-80mil is most probable, but again it depends on what the system has going for it.

Except, they are rumours of unreleased consoles, you really think the average person will pay attention to those?
People in general are stupid, it's the individual that can be smart, don't think a few rumours will hold back sales of any system, except when it comes to the more technically literate hardcore demographic, which is a minority.

My personal opinion is, I hope no console ever dominates the entire console market, we have had our best innovation when consoles have been pretty neck and neck in terms of sales.

Why? Is that because the 3DS could outsell it? Or do you just not think Handhelds should be considered consoles like many others?

The 3DS should be compared to the PSP or the Vita, not consoles. Consoles should be compared to one another. The Gameboy has always outsold the typical Nintendo console, so really this isnt about who is better, but it just makes no sense to me because I dont see how it affects the other in a way worth expressing.
